Immanuel Agency, Inc. seeks job applicants who meet and maintain our levels of employee standards. As part of our formal application process, applicants must complete our detailed  job application. We then perform an in-person interview and full screenings, including social security number, driver’s license, and criminal background checks. Prospective employees should be in good legal standing and have the proper credentials to work in the United States. We will review employment history and check at least three references.

Job applicants should be at least 19 years of age and have a minimum of two years of job experience. They should be flexible with scheduling and have reliable transportation. Formal education and relevant training is a plus.

What can our employees expect from Immanuel Agency, Inc.?

Immanuel Agency, Inc. offers professional job placement services, where we work to match and place our employees in a suitable position with a compatible employer. Once placed, we support employees and employers alike to work through job-related issues and concerns. And, there are no placement fees, as these are paid by the employer at the time of hiring.

What can our employees expect from the family or individual who hires them?

Prior to being hired, prospective employees will have a telephone interview with the individual or family who is looking for their services. At that time, the family or individual should explain their expectations in terms of the specific duties the employee will perform as well as the number of hours the employee will work daily or weekly.

Once a placement agreement has been reached, there should be a written contract between the employer and the employee that provides all the terms and conditions of employment. Immanuel Agency, Inc. will provide you with a sample contract that can be tailored to each position.

At a minimum, the contract should contain language that addresses:

  • A detailed description of the job
  • Salary or hourly wages to be paid
  • Hours the employee will work
  • Vacation, days off, holidays, and sick days
    • Paid?
    • Eligible for after what period of time?
  • Compensation for overtime hours worked or for work performed outside the scope of the original job description
  • Living conditions (for live-in employees)
  • Health benefits

Our employees’ levels of education and experience as well as the specific job duties they perform determine the amount of salary or hourly rate they can expect to earn. In general, live-in employees are paid a weekly salary and live-out or part-time employees are paid on an hourly basis. Employers also typically provide one or two weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to time off on five major holidays.
